I decided to have a go at 20 Comments Day after I saw it on A Blog About Nowt The idea is, you leave comments on twenty blogs, then post the links on your own. It sounded simple, but actually it’s harder than you think. Anyhoo, here is my list, some entries you will recognise, others may be new to you. All are great, so why not pay them a visit. And if you would like to take part yourself, click the link below to find out more.

  1. 20 blogs!!! I barely read 10 blogs. lol

  2. Nixxie – I don’t think I usually read 20 a day LOL It was really hard to get the full quota, and I had to resort to blogs I usually visit, which may be cheating. The trouble was, I kept finding great sounding ones, but when I got there, they hadn’t been updated for months.

  3. Mike – that’s ok, I love your blog, so it was one of the first I thought of. Hopefully you will get a few new readers.

  4. Thanks for visiting.

  5. Now I know what the little 4/20 was above the sig line.

For a moment I thought it was a score on the quality of the post.

    Your forgiven now!

I sometimes feel like I’m breaking into someones private converstation when I post comments for the first time but this gives a reason to do it – so I’ll try it. Good idea.

  6. Wow, that must have taken some doing. I might try it some day though – might cut it down to a handful of blogs as I’m on dial-up (handy excuse, heh).

PS – WBS, funny you should say that – today I broke my silence on two blogs I’ve been reading for months and I felt guilty! I wondered if I should say anything at all. Hmm.

  7. Thanks for the shout-out, Kate, and I’m glad you’ve had a go at it. It is tough, for sure. I usually visit at least 20 a day, I’d say, but to find 20 that have new-ish content and that you can make somethig like a meaningful comment at can take time. I think it took me about 3 hours solid yesterday!

  8. Nice work! I’ve added your list to my page and a link back to you.

  9. WBS – Sorry about that, I can see how it would have looked like I was marking you. Ooh, 4/20, you must have been livid. LOL

I know what you mean about posting for the first time. I often feel like that too, especially, when there seem to be a lot of regular commenters. It is easy to feel as though you are intruding.

  10. Diddums – Yes, maybe you could introduce a more manageable number for dial up users. It would take you ages to get through 20 on 56k.

I’m sure the bloggers you have left comments for will appreciate it, I think most people do like to get them. If they don’t it makes you wonder why they bother blogging in the first place.

  11. *(asterisk) I thought I had better say where I got the idea, it seemed a bit cheeky to not to mention you LOL

It does take some time to find posts to comment on. I thought maybe an hour or so, but it took much longer.

  12. Thanks Pie :-)

I didn’t bother to send my list to you because it was quite late by the time I finished, I thought everyone else would have beaten me to it.

  13. Cool, you always come up with these neat things…and hey you will be first on mine ;)

    Peace

  14. NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

that is so not fair. I’m going to have to read those links now.

  15. Hi Jodi – It is a good idea, but sadly not mine. It wasa thought up by someone called Pie, who blogs here.

Looking forward to seeing your list – good luck, it take some time!

  16. Pete – Yes you are! Each and everyone, so chop chop! LOL

Actually, there are some good blogs there, I’ve added a few new entries to my list of regular reads.

  17. Very cool idea. I’m going to take a shot at it myself. You will be my first comment. :)

PS. Found you via the Blogathon site.

  18. Hooray! What a cool idea!!!OK, gonna add this to my ‘list of things to do today’. Yikers, this is gonna take some time…..must get a cup of coffe first!!!

  19. Caryn – Thanks for visiting :-)

It is a great idea, harder than you think, but fun. I found quite a few new blogs that I will be visiting again.

I’ll drop by and have a looka at your list.

  20. Talk of the Town – Oh yes, coffee is required LOL

  21. At last I got time to come back and check out the links you posted here. I liked quite a few and added them to my blogfeeds. Thanks for doing all the work and finding them!
