It is Mr Blogs birthday tomorrow, and I have forgotten to get him a pressie. I should be able to get around this by telling him a fib and saying I have something, but he has to wait until he gets home to open it. Mind you, that doesn’t help me decide what to buy in the first place – he is very hard to buy for. Well, it’s not just him, I have the same problem with men generally. I can shop for women, and children, but grown men, not so much. I usually spend hours wandering around the shops trying to find the right thing. He likes gadgets, but we have a house full of the things and he never uses them. Music used to be a good choice, but he stopped listening to new bands in about 2001, and has everything the bands he does like ever produced, so unless I can find some obscure import on lime green vinyl with purple spots, music is out.

I’m not even going to think about clothes, jewelry or smellies – he is picky about the former, and would think the other two were ‘girly’. So, it looks like books. Yes, more books, just what we need in a house which already rivals the average library for the number of books it contains.

In the absence of anything more interesting to post, here is a blog quiz thingy – discover how much you know about blogging, probably more than me

You Know a Lot About Blogging

  1. As a shot in the dark, what about a book about music? Most bands seem to have some sort of biography out, I’m sure you could find one about a favourite act of his.

  2. I wish I had read this earlier, it’s a great idea. Sadly, I ended up giving him a gift voucher, large amounts of chcocolate and a wind-up R2D2.

  3. Men eh?….Pah!

  4. I know half as much about blogging as you: 3/8.

  5. Cotswoldgent – normally, I’m not into men bashing, but when it comes to pressie buying, yes: men, pah ;-)

Asterisk – that is probably a good thing, it means you aren’t an horrible geek like me LOL
