When I set this blog up in October 2004, I chose a name that, at the time, seemed quite witty, and which I thought was so obvious, people would immediately get it. Apparently, I was wrong because it has taken until today for anyone to correctly identify it’s origins. A couple of people have made guesses (Liam and Matt), but I think they’ve been confused by the url, which actually isn’t relevant – someone was already using itisi.blogspot.com, so I had to add the ‘for’ to the beginning. Anyhoo, today Chairman Bill correctly guessed that the title is actually taken from the sit com, ‘Allo ‘Allo. So, there you have it. Mystery solved, and I bet you’re kicking yourself aren’t you?
One mystery does remain though: What happened to the other itisi? It hasn’t been updated since 2002, but consists of what appear to be love letters written by a chap called Robert to a girl called Emily Murphy. Did things work out between them? Are they still together? Or did poor Robert get his heart broken? Is that why he gave up blogging? I’m guessing we’ll never know, but I’d love to.
