For many years I thought the chorus to this song was ‘C’est la vie came washing over me’* which sounded odd in both English and French, the two elements just don’t work as a sentence. However, despite my bemusement at the Manics poor language skills, I sang along to it. Often loudly. Tonight I realised my mistake, it’s actually ‘Tsunami came washing over me’, which makes much more sense, especially when you consider it is the title of the song. But if you listen to it, doesn’t it sound much closer to my interpretation?

* That’s life came washing over me. BTW, I was unsure where to place the asterisk there. Should it be inside, or outside the apostrophes?

Yes, I know it should be Musical Monday, but I missed that I’m a rebel, so it’s Tuneful Tuesday instead. It’s not a meme or anything, I’m the only one who gets to participate*. Anyhoo, enjoy the rather jolly song by Gogol Bordello, (who seem to have followed me on Twitter**) if it doesn’t get your toes tapping then I’m afraid you may have expired at your keyboard. But that’s ok, a reader is a reader, I can’t afford to be picky and reject people because they’ve joined the ranks of the living dead.

* No really, if anyone else does it I will be very cross. There will be pouting, and maybe even foot stamping.
** I’m never sure with celeb tweeters, some seem to be imposters, for example, this guy, I’m not sure why but I have my suspicions that he isn’t really the Pope. Be quite funny if he was though.

Yes, it’s snowing. This is a Very Bad Thing. Well, to some anyway. Some of us think it looks quite pretty and are wondering why all the fuss? It’s a cliche, but why are so many of the British population surprised and alarmed by something that happens quite often? It’s not an EU plot to turn us into Scandinavians you know!? Snow happens, deal with it.

And, it could be worse. What if you were one of the people who saw this*? That line about ‘his little dance . . .’ has been making me chuckle all morning
